What we collect

STL Real Talk uses Google Analytics to understand visits, traffic sources, page views, scrolling, outbound-link clicks, video engagement, device types, and general geographic regions. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, news-tip contents, or other personally identifiable information to Google Analytics.

If you join STL Insider, we collect the email address you provide and any optional ZIP code, city or neighborhood, topic preferences, email frequency, partner-offer choice, and campaign source connected with that signup. We keep a record of the consent you gave.

Cookies and measurement

Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technology to measure how visitors use this website. This information helps us improve coverage, video placement, and site performance.

Embedded services

Videos and forms embedded from YouTube, HeyGen, and Jotform may collect information under their own privacy policies when you interact with them.

How we use and share subscriber information

We use subscriber information to deliver requested emails, personalize coverage, understand our audience, prevent abuse, and measure campaigns. We may share aggregated or de-identified audience insights with advertisers and sponsors. We do not sell subscriber email addresses. Sponsored emails and local partner offers are sent only under the choices shown on the signup form.

Advertising

STL Real Talk may display direct sponsorships and advertising supplied by outside ad services. Those services may use cookies or similar identifiers for measurement and ad delivery. Where required, visitors will be offered applicable consent choices.

Your choices

You can limit cookies through your browser settings or use Google's Analytics opt-out tools. Blocking analytics does not prevent you from reading stories or watching publicly available reports.
