New “study” finds your best employee is probably zooted
Every workplace has that one employee who is suspiciously calm, never joins the drama and still somehow gets more done than everybody else. This viral clip has a theory.
The employee-of-the-month theory
The joke is simple: management may not know what is going on off the clock, but the numbers keep landing. The creator argues that the employee who appears a little too relaxed may also be the person producing the best results every single time.
That is what makes the clip hit. It turns a familiar workplace contradiction into a blunt question: if the work is getting done better than anybody else can do it, how closely does the boss really want to investigate?
The “new study” headline is a joke. This is comedy commentary, not scientific research, medical advice or an argument for working impaired.
Funny online, serious on the job
The meme lands because plenty of people recognize the high-performing employee who keeps to themselves and delivers. In real workplaces—especially around vehicles, machinery, health care or public safety—impairment can create real danger and employers still have safety obligations.
So laugh at the clip, tag the coworker who always has the department on their back, and do not treat a viral punchline like workplace policy.
