According to multiple accounts, two women visiting Grafton were allegedly subjected to a racial slur by Hawg Pit BBQ owner Cory Wiemelt. After the women told their husbands what allegedly happened, the men reportedly traveled to Grafton and confronted him.
The confrontation
People familiar with the incident say the later confrontation became physical. No police report was filed, according to those sources. Without an official report, there is currently no police account establishing who initiated the physical encounter, exactly what occurred, or whether anyone suffered injuries.
The identities of the women, their husbands, and individuals who supplied information are being withheld to protect their privacy.
The circulating image
